History of Film

October 8, 2011

After many years of being exceedingly frustrated with IMDB’s top 250, a list so perplexing and unsatisfying, I now plan on making my own, sorta. Inspired by own personal desires and partially by Kevin Knox’s Top 10 Project, this page will be allocated to the films I love and yes, the ones my readers hold in high regard. For the next couple months we’ll be going over the decades of film, listing out ten favorites from each defining decade. This project is ongoing, till Duke & The Movies ends. You can contribute anytime you want – no limitations, no preferences, except for your own.

There’s only one rule: Be honest with yourself. Don’t fall into cliches and typical selections. Pick the films you truly love with a passion. Everything else will fall into place.
